a friend of mine has been being beat up by her dad for awhile, hes being charged for having illegal drugs also, he has grabbed her by the neck and pinned her on the wall, bashed her head into a cabinet, and grabbed her arms so hard it left multiple bruises, among other thing such as threats to beat her till she can no longer walk; her life once; as well as getting slapped quite often
any info on the matter would be nice

You’re talking about felony abuse of minor here. The sentence is up to 6 years per count. (that means up to 6 years for each time that the District Attorney finds out it happened and presses charges for it)
