i dunno, i rekon i might be depressed, i have recently gotten over a drug addiction and i am feeling really really upset all the time and as though there is like no point in doing anything – like i’ll just lay in bed all day.
also, recently my parents have found out about my drug problems and i’ve lost a couple of friends that i used to talk to on the way.
so now everything is feeling prettymuch pointless and like ive got no one.
i was wondering the treatment options for depression and if you can get these without parents knowing (i’m 16) and how much they cost considering i live in perth australia.
plz help… any advise, i’m getting kinda desperate..

Tablets, lots of sleep, see your GP

Go talk to your Gp and insist that he keep this confidential from your parents.
There are two main ways of treating depression:
1) Counselling
2) Medication
They are about equal in efficacy, however there tends to be a huge waiting list for counselling so most people tend to make medication their first line. Both should be mostly covered by medicare.
As an adjunct taking regular exercise and eating a healthy diet can help.
